The character models are surprisingly detailed (if a bit shiny), and they've crammed in most of the current roster. The gameplay's faster than modern WWE games – closer to the SmackDown! days – with chain wrestling that actually requires timing rather than button prompts.

The creation suite is shockingly robust for a PSP mod. You can make decent approximations of current stars not included, though some attires look like they went through a bad fax machine. The career mode runs deep, with proper rivalries and title pursuits that don't feel scripted.

What makes this special is how well it runs. While the console version chugs on some systems, this PSP version maintains smooth framerates even during multi-man matches. The simplified controls work perfectly on mobile, making it the best way to get your wrestling fix on the go. It's not perfect, but it's way more fun than it has any right to be.
